Instructions
In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of filtered water to a gentle boil.
Add the thinly sliced ginger to the boiling water and reduce heat to a simmer.
Let the ginger simmer for 5–7 minutes to release its natural oils and flavor.
Turn off the heat and stir in freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Allow the tea to cool slightly, then stir in raw honey to taste.
Strain the tea into a cup using a fine mesh strainer. Add lemon slices or mint leaves if desired and serve warm.
Notes
You can also serve this tea iced. Simply allow it to cool and pour over ice. Add cinnamon or turmeric for extra health benefits and flavor.
